One of the demands of the administrative staff of any agency is to recognize outstanding employees and ensure they and their co-workers are informed of their selfless, dedicated job performance. This can often be difficult but from my chair, this year’s Employee of the Year goes to a person that has performed her duties in an excellent manner, gone above and beyond the call of duty, worked during sickness and personal strife while always extolling the best attributes of her employer, the Council of the Southern Mountains. She is the ultimate optimist that brings joy to those she serves, her employer, her family and her community.
This person has worked to overcome workplace difficulties and show that if a person is optimistic, hard working, diligent and most importantly dedicated, there is no job that we as a team cannot perform in an exemplary manner.
